  • How much can I earn?

    This is entirely up to you as hosts can set the fees to each activity against its worth in the market against other host activities. To maximise the potential it is important to consider the demand and supply which will be dictated by many factors including reviews & feedback and the target customer you are attempting to attract.

  • What are the penalties?

    Unlike certain websites where only one side of the user tend to get penalised for negligence caused by the other (i.e. hosts cancelling the trip o customers), TravelMod sees that the penalties should go both ways. Including the ability to be able to leave reviews and ratings, TravelMod will take additional measures to apply penalties to the side that caused negligence if no acceptable justification has been provided which may include:

    • Temporary suspension or termination of their TravelMod accounts
    • Financial penalties
    • Place the user in TravelMod’s watch list
  • Is it safe to use?

    Similar to all other online websites as well as physical companies there are always some level of risk with security however TravelMod considers security seriously and takes number of measures to ensure these are minimised and addressed in a timely manner.

    1. TravelMod allows hosts to fill out compulsory security forms and requests identity proofs that are completed through a bank-grade service provider. These are screened & checked before approval of hosting rights to TravelMod which are stored in our databas
    2. Unlike many other websites, TravelMod operate a two-way feedback and communication system for both customers as well as hosts. It is highly encouraged to look at previous reviews, ratings and posts prior to booking the trip with the hosts.
    3. TravelMod uses ‘Report’ function readily available to all users that can be used at any stage. This can be used for any unusual/suspicious, inappropriate activities / posts or other serious security concerns by any users to report other users. These will be checked and reviewed by TravelMod administrators to take action in a timely manner. These buttons should NOT be used to lodge complaints or to provide negative feedback of the hosts.

     

    Whilst TravelMod will do the best it can to create an environment for our users we encourage that you ensure your most up-to-date information, including contact information is saved on your user page. In addition, for those that are travelling overseas, obtaining travel insurance through your service provider and registering your details with your embassy of citizenship is recommended.
